Nurse-Family Partnership and Opioid Use Disorder: Strategies for Successful Outcomes

Building the capacity of NFP nurses to address the unique needs ofmothers and children impacted by opioid use disorder to ensure positive pregnancy and birth outcomes and healthy childhood growth and development.

Discuss the physical, emotional, and psychosocial impacts of OUD on mothers and children in Nurse-Family Partnership.
Implement support strategies for mothers and children served in NFP impacted by OUD.
Identify mothers at risk of relapse.
Partner with providers and treatment centers to engage and enroll high-risk pregnant mothers into the NFP program.
Collaborate with professionals involved in the mother's recovery process in order to support a successful course of treatment.
