NFP Nurses Treating Opioid Use Disorder

Series meets weekly Wednesday (Weekly) from 8:30 am MT - 9:30 am MT


Build the capacity of NFP nurses to address the unique needs of mothers and children impacted by opioid use disorder in order to ensure positive pregnancy and birth outcomes and healthy childhood growth and development. 

Learning Objectives

"At the end of this series participants will be able to..."

  • Discuss the physical, emotional, and psychosocial impacts of OUD on mothers and children in the Nurse-Family Partnership program. 
  • Maintain a trusting relationship with clients impacted by Opioid Use Disorder to keep them engaged in the NFP Program.
  • Integrate NFP tools and strategies into each step of the care of clients experiencing OUD. 
  • Collaborate with professionals involved in the mother's recovery process to support a successful course of treatment.
