Endocrine Explained

This series meets Wednesdays (weekly) from 12:00 - 1:00 PM MT for 11 weeks. No session on September 20.

This series will cover the highest yield endocrinology conditions encountered in the primary care setting, focusing on recognition, initial diagnostic testing and basic management of endocrinopathies pending subspecialist involvement.  Sessions include brief didactic presentations by endocrinology experts and discussion of participant-provided cases. Participants are highly encouraged to bring de-identified patient cases for group discussion and expert consultation.

CME: Our application is pending approval. Participants should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the series (1.0 credit per session attended). To claim CME credit, participants who attended at least one session must complete the post-series survey which will be sent on the day of the last session (October 18).

  • Discuss the spectrum of thyroid disease and its high yield diagnostic strategies with initial management tips.
  • Summarize the pharmacotherapy of osteoporosis and optimal workup for atypical osteoporosis.
  • Describe the spectrum of adrenal, pituitary, obesity endocrine disorders that are initially triaged/managed in the primary care setting.
