Pediatric Psychiatry

Series meets Wednesdays (Weekly) from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM MST


In this series, primary care providers who care for pediatric patients in Colorado presenting with symptoms of common mental health conditions (ADHD, Depression, Suicide, Anxiety Disorders, Autism, Trauma, ACES, and PTSD) will be able to accurately determine the diagnosis and appropriate treatment plan, ultimately leading to more appropriate treatment and management of these complex pediatric conditions.

CME: This ECHO Colorado series, with the first of 6 sessions beginning on October 16, 2019, will be reviewed and acceptable for up to 5.0 credits by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity (1.0 credit per session).

Series-level learning objectives

For each of the 6 topics (ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Suicide and Self-harm, Trauma and Autism), participants will be able to:

  1. Determine which pediatric patients need to be further assessed.
  2. Accurately diagnose pediatric patients.
  3. Describe multiple treatment options that are appropriate to pediatric patients.
  4. Describe ongoing management options and challenges for pediatric patients.
